PETALING JAYA – Despite being pushed to relinquish her position and ordered to answer the show-cause letter for criticising the President of PKR, Zuraida Kamaruddin will continue to carry out her duties as the Vice-President of the party.
In addition, she will also continue to shoulder her responsibility as the Ministry of Housing and Local Government, said her Political Secretary, Nor Hizwan Ahmad.
Hizwan, who handed the reply letter from Zuraida to the Headquarters of PKR said, Zuraida has replied the three key questions raised by the Disciplinary Board.
“I can say that Zuraida answered all the questions calmly, including questions pertaining her speech during the dinner at the Renaissance.
“She told the truth and as the elected Vice-President of PKR, she has taken the responsibility by replying that letter,” he told the media after handing in Zuraida’s reply letter to the Disciplinary Board.
He also said that the reply letter was handed to Mr Goh, meanwhile, the Chairman of the PKR Disciplinary Board Datuk Ahmad Kasim was not around the area.
According to Hizwan, it would be up to the Disciplinary Board to evaluate and determine the next process.
He said, they were not being informed on the timeframe needed by the Disciplinary Board to go through Zuraida’s response.
For the record, today is the final day for Zuraida to respond to the show-cause letter dated 15 January 2020.
When asked why Zuraida chose to reply during the last minute of the deadline, Hizwan said, they needed to go through the questions raised by the Disciplinary Board before replying the letter.
“We needed time as the questions were long. There were three questions along with sub-questions. Thus, we took time to answer the letter and it was written by Zuraida herself after we went through each allegation and answered the letter,” he added. -MalaysiaGazette
