Yesterday, Zuraida, through he Political Secretary, Nor Hizwan Ahmad said that she had sent a leave application letter for her position as the Vice-President of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR).
According to Hizwan, the letter handed to the office of PKR President, mentioned that Zuraida would like to take leave until the party Disciplinary Board completes its decision on the action which should be taken against her.
In the letter, Zuraida said that she would like to take the leave with immediate effect. However, she would continue her duty as the Minister of Housing and Local Government (KPKT).
Earlier, Zuraida was referred to the party Disciplinary Board following her controversial speech which openly criticised Anwar during a dinner at a hotel on 8 December, which was also the final day for the PKR National Convention in Melaka. -MalaysiaGazette
