KUALA LUMPUR – The audio recording on the conversation between former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor was played during the solar hybrid project trial which entered its third day.
The prosecution team requested witness, former Minister of Education, Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid to identify the voices of the two individuals in the phone call which was exposed by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission earlier.
Mahadzir then verified that the voices belonged to Najib and Rosmah.
However, the action was objected by Rosmah’s defence counsel, Jagjit Singh.
He said that the prosecution team should have given them time to go through the new evidence given to the court today.
Nevertheless, chief prosecutor Datuk Seri Gopal Sri Ram said that they only wanted verification.
