Benut State Assemblyman (ADUN), Datuk Ir Hasni Mohammad has been sworn in as the 18th Menteri Besar of Johor

JOHOR BAHRU – The Benut State Assemblyman (ADUN), Datuk Ir Hasni Mohammad has been sworn in as the 18th Menteri Besar of Johor at the Bukit Serene Palace before the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar.

The 61-year-old UMNO and Barisan Nasional (BN) Communications Chairman was appointed after the BN, PAS and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) collaborated in forming a new state government.

He succeeded Datuk Dr Sahruddin Jamal from Bersatu after the new coalition is formed.

Hasni originated from Pontian. He graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering.

He was the MP of Pontian and also the UMNO Supreme Council Member. -MalaysiaGazette
