KUALA LUMPUR – The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said that no meeting between the newly appointed Prime Minister and any political party leaders was scheduled today.

In a brief statement, the PMO said that the Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin was scheduled to meet the Chief Secretary to the Government and the leaders of departments / agencies to coordinate the administration of the government.

Earlier today, the Hisyam The Poh Teik, defence counsel of UMNO President, Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi made an application to the court to postpone Zahid’s proceeding today as the accused had to attend a meeting with the Prime Minister to form the new Cabinet.

The request was made by Zahid’s defence team at the Kuala Lumpur High Court today.

Muhyiddin had officially started his first day at work as the Prime Minister today. -MalaysiaGazette
