KUALA LUMPUR – The rumours on the resignation of Latheefa Koya as the Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is getting louder.
Latheefa was rumoured to have tendered her resignation three days ago.
Her position would allegedly be filled by the current Deputy Chief Commissioner (Operations) of the MACC, Datuk Azam Baki.
However, when asked about the matter, Latheefa refused to comment but said, “No comment. I am here to testify.”
She was met by the media after she testified as the 13th witness of the SRC International Sdn Bhd at the Kuala Lumpur Courts Complex in Jalan Duta yesterday.
The Buletin Utama in TV3 had also aired the news on Latheefa’s resignation by quoting a source.
Latheefa was appointed as the 14th Chief Commissioner of the MACC for a period of two years since 1 June 2019. Her contract was supposed to end in 31 May 2021. -MalaysiaGazette
