The four senior ministers will also be chairing the Cabinet meeting on behalf of Muhyiddin while he is away.

He said, the names of the Ministers and Deputy Ministers were decided after a discussion with all parties in the Perikatan Nasional over the past week and have received the consent from the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.

“I am fully aware that with these uncertainties, you hope that the government can seek a solution to whatever problem that you have. Therefore, it is my responsibility as the Prime Minister to form a Cabinet which can solve the problems of the people and to bring our country to success and greater heights.

“Therefore, I will form a cabinet which will focus on delivery, efficiency, transparency, people-centric and with integrity.

“My cabinet line-up consists of experienced politicians, technocrats and individuals with expertise in their own fields.

“To ensure that the cabinet is formed by people with integrity, the cabinet members have been screened by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission and the Royal Malaysia Police.

“None of the people who are appointed have corruption or criminal issues,” he said during the Cabinet announcement at his office today.

The new Cabinet will be sworn-in before the Yang di-Pertuan Agong at Istana Melawati in Putrajaya tomorrow. – MalaysiaGazette
