PUTRAJAYA – I am not the one man show type of person. I will introduce the pyramid working system, said the Minister at Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs), Datuk Seri Dr. Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri.

He said, he prioritises on time and does not like his subordinates (civil servants) under the department and agencies of the ministry to waste time when they are on duty.

According to him, the department heads would need to prepare weekly reports to him on the duties of their subordinates so that everyone can work professionally.

“I like working in a pyramid system, I am not a one man show. Starting from now, each leader would need to prepare a weekly report on their subordinates.

“The bosses or unit leaders need to check on their own staff. Where are they at 9.00 am, where are they at 3.00 pm. They can’t be still eating at 4.00 pm. That is not a good culture,” he said.

Dr Zulkifli also noticed that the staff had wasted a lot of time.

“Sometimes, they do things that are not important, disappear during work hours, their seats are empty, the leaders cannot trace their subordinates and such.

“That is not a healthy concept. If we come early, we can start work early and complete our work early,” he said.

He would also be introducing the table file. As soon as a staff enters the office, they would already know what they need to do according to their qualifications.

“I want the staff at the religious department and agencies to be on par with the staff at the Public Service Department (JPA), work professionally.

“I want to avoid the stigma that the religious people, the religious agencies are weak, not stable,” he said.

He also explained that the Rahmah concept under his administration is love and not revenge. He said, the responsibility is more important and should be the clothes that each Muslim wears.

Besides that, Dr Zulkifli also said that he would reward the staff who perform 200 percent. -MalaysiaGazette
