
KUALA LUMPUR – The leadership of Jemaah Dakwah dan Tabligh Malaysia which headquarters at the Seri Petaling Mosque denied their involvement with the convention in Sulawesi, Indonesia.
Their spokesperson, Abdullah Cheong said, the assembly in Indonesia was not organised by them.
“We have instructed all our partners to comply with the law of the authorities.
“None of us under the Seri Petaling Mosque attended that convention and if there were Malaysians there, they were not from the Jemaah Dakwah dan Tabligh Malaysia which headquarters at the Seri Petaling Mosque,” he said.
Earlier today, the authorities and organiser of the tabligh assembly in Sulawesi said that the convention scheduled in Gowa near Makassar had been postponed.
The similar event in Malaysia earlier had caused a spike in the Covid-19 outbreak.
The administrative head in Gowa, Adnan Purichta Ichsan Yasin Limpo said that the Sulawesi Tabligh Convention was postponed and thousands of participants will be quarantined before they are allowed to return to their homes or countries. -MalaysiaGazette
