KUALA LUMPUR – A total of 12 staff members from the Ministry of Health (MOH) and three more from the private healthcare sector have been infected with Covid-19.

Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said all 12 from MOH are now in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and require respiratory aid.

“This virus knows no boundaries, regardless of your race, religion or wealth status, even more so if you are a healthcare worker at the frontline of this war.

“Our simple message to the public today: Please help us to help you. Stay at home,” he said in his Facebook post today.

110 new positive Covid-19 cases were reported in the country yesterday, bringing cumulative cases to 900. Malaysia has also recorded two Covid-19 deaths from Selangor and Sarawak respectively. -MalaysiaGazette
