KUALA LUMPUR – The Cabinet meeting yesterday (25 March) had decided to make a two-month pay cut for Prime Minister, Ministers and Deputy Ministers as a contribution to the Covid-19 Fund.

The decision was announced by the Prime Minister’s Office in a statement.

The measure proved that the government is serious in assisting those who are impacted by the Covid-19 outbreak.

The Covid-19 Fund was launched on 11 March as the government’s effort in helping the people who were affected by the pandemic.

As of yesterday, a total of RM8,493,103.48 including government’s grants have been collected. – MalaysiaGazette
