KUALA LUMPUR – A seemingly normal Covid-19 Operation patrol to enforce the Movement Control Order (MCO) had led two policemen to a couple and their daughter at a park in Tampoi, Johor Bahru.
During the patrol, Corporal Mohd Hisham Mustafa and Constable Mudrikah Nazirul Nordin was making their rounds at Taman Tampoi Indah, Johor Bahru. They saw a family sitting on a bench at a park and advised them to comply with the MCO and go home.
However, the woman suddenly burst into tears and said that they had no money and there was no more food supplies at home. Touched by the confession of the unfortunate family, the police officers brought the family to a grocer and bought food supplies for the family.
The policemen were moved when they knew that the 1 year 4 month-old toddler was only given Milo with sugar to drink as the couple could not afford to buy milk.
The family rented a room in Taman Tampoi. The husband had stopped his part-time job in Singapore as he had not work permit. Meanwhile, the wife was a cleaner in Larkin. However, she was forced to go on leave due to the MCO.
The touching tale was shared on the Instagram account of pdrmsia_trafik. Most netizens who read the post sang praises for Corporal Mohd Hisham Mustafa and Constable Mudrikah Nazirul Nordin for helping the family in need.
They also expressed their sympathy to the family and were grateful that the two policemen helped to lighten the burdens of the couple.
Thank you Corporal Mohd Hisham and Constable Mudrikah, only Allah can repay your kindness! – MalaysiaGazette
