KUALA LUMPUR – Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar said that the Ramadan bazaar is inappropriate to be held during the Covid-19 outbreak.

According to His Majesty, the risk of having close contacts is huge, thus, it could impact the health of the people in general.

“Covid-19 positive cases are still being reported, thus, I see that it is inappropriate to have Ramadan bazaar, not only here but also in other places for the safety and health of the people.

“Forget about Ramadan bazaar. I am worried that if the virus outbreak goes on, it would also affect the government’s efforts in eliminating the disease,” the Sultan of Johor decreed.

His Majesty do not want the people to take the orders and advises of the authorities lightly.

“You can see, how the healthcare workers and the frontliners work around the clock to contain this outbreak.

“Imagine, if the outbreak worsens, it would affect the medical team and hampers the treatment system,” His Majesty said. -MalaysiaGazette
