KUALA LUMPUR – The Covid-19 red zones had extended to 21 areas nationwide as of 12.00pm yesterday, an increment of three areas in comparison to the day before.
The new districts listed as red zones are namely Putrajaya, Jasin and Rembau.
The Ministry of Health said that the three areas, Putrajaya, Jasin and Rembau had recorded 41 Covid-19 positive cases respectively.
Selangor is still leading the score as the state with the most Covid-19 positive cases with 970 cases followed by the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur (640), Johor (468) and Perak (219).
In Kuala Lumpur, Lembah Pantai remained the zone with the highest cases (386), followed by Kepong (116), Tititwangsa (93) and Cheras (45).
In Selangor, Hulu Langat recorded the highest cases (324), followed by Petaling (296), Klang (112) and Gombak (110).
Three districts in Johor also fell into the Red Zone, namely, Kluang (170), Johor Bahru (145) and Batu Pahat (47).
Hilir Perak and Kinta in Perak recorded 65 and 87 cases respectively.
Meanwhile in Pahang, Jerantut is the only red zone area with 61 coronavirus cases.
In Negeri Sembilan, besides its new addition of Rembau, Seremban had recorded 162 cases.
82 cases were recorded in Kota Bharu, Kelantan.
In East Malaysia, the Covid-19 positive tally in Kuching, Sarawak rose to 174 cases and 67 cases were recorded in Tawau, Sabah. -MalaysiaGazette
