PUTRAJAYA – The Ministry of Health (MOH) Malaysia said that 168 Covid-19 patients have fully recovered and discharged today.

According to the Director-General of Health Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, with the addition, the total cumulative cases of patients who have recovered from Covid-19 is 2,276 cases.

“As of 13 April 2020, 12pm, a total of 134 new cases were reported. Thus, the total Covid-19 positive cases in Malaysia is 4,817 cases,” he said at a daily news conference on the Covid-19 updates in Malaysia today.

At the same time, Noor Hisham said that 66 Covid-19 patients are being treated at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). From that amount, 36 cases required respiratory support.

MOH was also informed about a death today involving a 62-year-old Malaysian man who had medical history of heart disease, high blood pressure and kidney problem.

“He was a participant of the Seri Petaling assembly. He was treated at the Melaka Hospital on 31 March and was pronounced dead on 13 April 2020 at 9.15am,” said Noor Hisham.

The cumulative Covid-19 death in the country is 77 cases. -MalaysiaGazette
