
PUTRAJAYA – After 25 clusters were detected for causing the spread of Covid-19, three new clusters have been identified by the Ministry of Health (MOH) today.
Director-General of Health, Datuk Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah said, all three clusters were detected in Sendayan, Negeri Sembilan which involved 39 Covid-19 positive cases.
“We have 28 clusters now and they are still small compared to the big cluster in Seri Petaling.
“We have positive cases involving 13 tahfiz students, one family of 11 individuals and a group of 15 individuals in the Sendayan cluster.
“We found that there is a spread of Covid-19 in Sendayan and integrated approach will be taken by the MOH officers in the field. We hope to contain the spread of Covid-19 in Sendayan,” he said at a news conference at MOH today.
Yesterday, the MOH traced two new sub-clusters in Kuantan, Pahang in the Bali Person Under Investigation (PUI) in Kuantan.
For the record, the Sri Petaling cluster is the biggest contributor for the Covid-19 cases amounting to 40 percent. -MalaysiaGazette
