
KUALA LUMPUR – Another district, Muar in Johor has been categorised as the Covid-19 red zone. With the addition, Malaysia has recorded 27 red zones as of 12.00pm yesterday.
According to the Crisis Preparedness Response Centre (CRPC) of the Ministry of Health (MOH), the district has recorded 44 Covid-19 positive cases.
Based on the infographic given by CRPC, MOH shared through their official social media, Lembah Pantai in Kuala Lumpur continues to lead the Covid-19 positive leader board with the highest Covid-19 cases in the country (572 cases). Meanwhile, Hulu Langat and Petaling in Selangor recorded 433 and 359 cases each, followed by Kuching, Sarawak with 240 cases.
167 cases were recorded in Klang, Gombak 141, Sepang 67 and Hulu Selangor 49 cases.
Other red zone areas included Kluang 201; Seremban 261; Johor Bahru 184; Kepong 131; Titiwangsa 122; Kinta 93; Kota Bharu 90; Tawau 79; Hilir Perak 65; Cheras 74; Jerantut 70; Rembau 53; Kuantan 91; Batu Pahat 51; Putrajaya 54; Jasin 68; Kota Samarahan 52; and Melaka Tengah 52.
Meanwhile in the 15 orange zones, several districts are nearing the red zone mark of 41 cases, namely, Lahad Datu 39, Seberang Perai Tengah 40, Kota Kinabalu 40, Kulai 38 and Kuala Muda in Kedah with 35 cases. -MalaysiaGazette
