KUALA LUMPUR – The Immigration Department was seen at the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) in Jalan Masjid India since 9.00 am for the documentation process of the foreigners at the Menara City One Plaza and its surrounding areas.
The process completed at around 1.30 pm after the vehicles belonging to the Immigration Department including the sports utility vehicle belonging to its Director-General left the area.
Vehicles such as trucks and busses belonging to the enforcement agency entered the Menara City One Plaza in Jalan Munshi Abdullah which was placed under EMCO at 9.00 am.
The Immigration Department was also present to assist in the sanitisation and disinfection process at the area.
According to its spokesperson, what took place today was a normal procedure to assist the other enforcement agencies besides implementing the documentation process for the foreigners and illegal immigrants (PATI) at the premise.
However, after the documentation process, several individuals, believed to be foreigners were seen in the trucks belonging to the Immigration Department.
A statement will be issued by the Immigration Department.
Meanwhile, about 150 officers from the various security enforcement agencies were involved with the sanitisation and disinfection process of the area besides documenting the foreigners.
Media practitioners had gathered at the location since 8.00 am after getting information on the presence of the security enforcers at the Menara City One Plaza at Masjid India today.
Questions were raised when several vehicles belonging to the police and immigration entered the location along with six trucks. – MalaysiaGazette
