PUTRAJAYA – Datuk Nurul Hidayah Ahmad Zahid and her husband, Datuk Saiful Nizam Mohd Yusoff were fined RM800 each by the Magistrate Court in Putrajaya for flouting the Movement Control Order (MCO) on 20 April.

Magistrate Shah Wirah Abdul Halim handed out the sentence after the duo pleaded guilty to the charges read to them.

They were charge for violating Regulation 3(1) of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures within the Infected Local Areas) Regulations 2020.

Nurul Hidayah, who is the daughter of UMNO President, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi had earlier uploaded an Instagram post of her and her husband meeting the Deputy Minister of Environment, Datuk Ahmad Masrizal Muhammad after an earlier meeting with Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri during the MCO period.

In one of the photo featuring the couple, she wrote, “After meeting the Religious Affairs Minister, we went to the Ministry of Environment to meet Datuk Masrizal, the Deputy Minister. We exchanged ideas and held a discussion. That is YB Datuk Dr Masrizal’s and my way (of doing things) since the days when he was my father @AhmadZahidHamidi’s political secretary.
