Covid-19: Only one red zone left in Selangor

KUALA LUMPUR – The Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) verified that Petaling district is the only red zone in Selangor since yesterday.

The data issued by CPRC showed that Gombak has turned into the yellow zone after its Covid-19 positive cases were reduced to 35 cases following the recovery of 20 patients in that district on Monday.

However, Petaling recorded an increment of two Covid-19 positive cases with a total 61 active cases.

With that development, there are currently eight red zones in Malaysia. Four of them are in Kuala Lumpur, namely in Ibu Kota (159 cases), Batu (104 cases), Kampung Baru (97 cases) and Sri Petaling (45 cases).

The Rembau district in Negeri Sembilan maintained its 130 cases and Kuching, Sarawak had 77 cases.

There was also an increment of four Covid-19 positive cases in Seremban in Negeri Sembilan, changing its total tally to 46 cases.

Meanwhile, Terengganu is approaching its full green zone when three of its districts in the state, namely, Besut, Dungun and Kemaman only recorded eight Covid-19 positive cases in the state.

Pahang recorded 21 positive cases in Bentong (3), Jerantut (1), Raub (3), Kuantan (8) and Temerloh (6).

For the record, a total of 121 districts have been categorized as the red zone nationwide with zero active cases.

Malaysia has recorded a total of 6,742 Covid-19 positive cases with 109 deaths. 5,223 patients have fully recovered from the disease. Meanwhile, 1,410 are still being treated at the hospitals. –MalaysiaGazette
