KUALA LUMPUR – The police have issued compounds on 433 individuals over various offences of the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO).
However, no compounds were issued on offences over Aidilfitri visits, said Senior Minister (Security Cluster), Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
He said, 114 compounds have been issued on the field with 108 issued during roadblocks.
“Therefore, everyone is reminded to obey the SOP and regulations. Your cooperation and self-control is vital in the war against Covid-19 pandemic,” he said during a news conference today.
According to Ismail Sabri, the police had also arrested 114 individuals for flouting CMCO.
From that amount, 86 individuals were remanded and 28 were on bail.
Elaborating further on the roadblocks, Ismail Sabri said that 252,799 vehicles have been inspected in 149 roadblocks nationwide.
He said, 434 vehicles tried to make interstate travel to go back to their hometown. They have been instructed to turn back by the police. The number has lessen from 842 vehicles the day before.
Kedah recorded the highest attempt for interstate travel (87) followed by Negeri Sembilan (83) and Melaka (59).
