KUALA LUMPUR – The police had issued compound on three individuals including the groom over their involvement in a wedding at a Hindu temple in Serdang.
Besides that, the compound was also issued on the Chairman and priest of the temple, said the Serdang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Ismadi Borhan in a statement today.
According to him, the investigation on the violation of the Movement Control Order (CMCO) is complete and the police had recorded the statements from everyone involved.
“Relevant documents including the payment receipt for the wedding and log book have been seized. The investigation was referred to the Selangor Prosecution Director’s Office on 27 May and we have received the instruction to issue compound on the three suspects,” he added.
Meanwhile, on the brawl between two groups of car towers in Serdang, Ismadi said that the police had arrested eight suspects and the Petaling Jaya Court had allow four-day remand on six of them and two-day remand on two others.
“Further investigation will be made and the remaining suspects at large will be tracked,” he said.
At the same time, the police had arrested a man to assist into the investigation of a dead body of a man found at a Bus Stop in Taman Sungai Besi Indah.
The court had also allowed the man charged for the murder to be remanded for seven days. Investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code is ongoing. –MalaysiaGazette
