KUALA LUMPUR – The political turmoil in Malaysia has not cease when a minister is rumoured to announce his resignation this evening.
Minister at Prime Minister’s Department (Special Tasks), Datuk Seri Redzuan Yusoff is the person rumoured to resign.
He is expected to conduct a news conference at 5.00pm at the Headquarters of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) in Petaling Jaya.
Also rumoured to attend the news conference is the Deputy Minister of Works, Datuk Dr Shahruddin Md Salleh. Besides the duo, another minister is also rumoured to be announcing his resignation.
Earlier, the media was informed of a news conference at 4.00 pm by the Secretary-General of Bersatu, Datuk Seri Hamzai Zainuddin, whose appointment raised questions.
However, the news conference has yet to begin and at the same time, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad whose membership was dropped from Bersatu was also seen at the headquarters of the party.
