KUALA LUMPUR — Covid-19 screening was conducted on the residents of Block D, Pangsapuri Segar Ria apartment at Taman Bukit Segar in Cheras today.
The instruction was verified by the Minister of Federal Territories, Tan Sri Annuar Musa and it was also signed by Public Health Medical Specialist of the Cheras Health Office, Datin Dr Noriah Hajib.
According to Noriah’s letter which went viral in the social media, the residents need to go for Covid-19 screening following positive cases reported at the apartment.
A field observation by MalaysiaGazette also verified the process which was held at the apartment.
One of the frontliners working at the screening centre said that the residents had gone through the health screening according to the standard operating procedures (SOP) set by the Ministry of Health (MOH).
“Everyone followed the order, nobody refused the order when asked to come down,” said that frontliner who refused to be named.
Yesterday, Director-General of Health Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that a new cluster was detected by the MOH at an apartment in Cheras with six positive cases.
The ministry tracked three suspects involving the residents and three other outside the area of the apartment.
The actual cause for the cluster is still under investigation. He did not reject the possibility of it being linked to the pre and Hari Raya Aidilfitri visitation. –MalaysiaGazete
