KUALA LUMPUR – Details on issues involving schools and education will be announced by the Education Minister after he presents it to the Special Ministers’ Meeting on the Implementation of MCO.

Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said, the meeting will also discuss about the operation of private tuition centres and the usage of surau in schools.

“The Minister of Education will present it in the meeting this Friday.

“Not only about private tuition centres, but also about the usage of surau in schools as the school session has started.

“Wait for the announcement this Friday,” he said during a daily news conference today.

On another development, Ismail Sabri said that there is no issue on non-citizens cruise ship crew working in the country.

He said, unlike the other foreign workers, the sailors have special pass and they are not issued by the government of Malaysia. Besides, they are only working on board.

“We have never stopped them all these while. Therefore, there is no issue,” he added.

However, the government has yet to allow foreign domestic helpers from returning to Malaysia for the time being, he said. –MalaysiaGazette
