PETALING JAYA – The Ministry of Education is planning to resume classes for Secondary School and Year Five and Six students in Primary School on 15 July.
According to a report by Sinchew Daily, classes for Standard One to Four will resume one or two weeks after that.
According to a source, the plan to reopen the school session will be announced soon if there is no drastic changes.
It said, the schools and students need to comply with the standard operating procedures (SOP) to ensure social distancing in school.
On the number of students in a class, the source said, for schools with sufficient classrooms and not many students, the students can attend their classes as usual.
However, for schools with a single session and many students, they need to split the schooling session to morning and afternoon session to ensure social distancing.
It was understood that a revised guideline based on the previous guideline on 4 June will be issued after this.
The Ministry of Education had earlier allowed students taking the Form Five and Six examinations to return to school on 24 June. –MalaysiaGazette
