KUALA LUMPUR – The Social Security Organisation (Perkeso) had approved 314,844 applications for the Wage Subsidy Programme as of 15 July.
It Chief Executive, Datuk Seri Dr Mohammed Azman Aziz Mohammed said, the approval represents 96.7 percent of applications.
Perkeso received a total of 325,506 applications from employers which represented 2.66 million employees since the programme was introduced on 1 April.
According to him, the organisation also received complaints on the subsidy payment which has yet to be credited besides over or under payment. Perkeso is also accepting plea on rejected applications.
Mohammed Azman said, the Perkeso has set-up a team to resolve issues on rejected applications and is holding a discussion with the banks on issues pertaining Business Registration Number (BRN). – MalaysiaGazette
