KUALA LUMPUR – Thousands of supporters who came to lend moral support to Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak yelled and shouted Hidup Rakyat, Allahuakbar, Bebas Bossku (Free Bossku), Tidak Betul (Not right), Tidak Adil (Not fair) right after the High Court delivered the verdict after finding the former Prime Minister guilty on all seven charges on the misappropriation of SRC International Sdn Bhd’s funds.
The ruckus went on for about 10 minutes before the police came forward to disband them for not observing the social distancing order on the standard operating procedures (SOP) for the prevention of Covid-19. Besides that, some of them were spotted not wearing face masks or not putting them on properly.
Refused to disband, the police had to use the loudspeaker from Light Strike Force unit and repeatedly warned them as congestion can clearly be seen at the main entrance of the court complex.
Media practitioners also did not escape from the similar warning as social distancing was not observed during the recording and photography of the commotion. –MalaysiaGazette
