KUALA LUMPUR – Compounds will be issued on the supporters of Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak including several Members of Parliament (MP) who gathered outside the Kuala Lumpur Courts Complex in Jalan Duta for failing to adhere to the standard operating procedures (SOP) of social distancing.
Deputy Director (Investigation/Legal) of the Criminal Investigation Department from Bukit Aman, Deputy Commissioner Mior Faridalathrash Wahid said, an instruction has been issued to the Kuala Lumpur Criminal Investigation Department (KL CID).
“I have ordered the KL CID to take actions and issue compounds under Regulation 3 of Forbidden Activities under Act 342 or the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures within the Infected Local Areas) Regulations 2020.
“Activities involving the presence of many people had obviously make it difficult for social distancing and the compliance of SOP as recommended by the Director-General of Health according to Act 342,” he told MalaysiaGazette just now.
This morning, thousands of supporters from all over the country, including Pekan assembled outside the court to lend their moral support to the former Prime Minister on the hearing of the verdict on his money-laundering, power abuse and criminal breach of trust case involving RM42 million belonging to SRC International Sdn Bhd.
