KUALA LUMPUR – A WhatsApp message was circulated today, telling visitors of several areas in Kubang Pasu, Kedah to quarantine themselves.
According to the viral message, all parents who visitor the areas need to ensure that their children are at their optimum health before sending them to school tomorrow.
“Attention to all parents.
“Students who spent their raya holidays in the KUBANG PASU DISTRICT and towns surrounding the Kubang Pasu district, please ensure your children’s health. If you or your children have visited high risk areas there, please quarantine yourself for 14 days to avoid the spread of new Sivagangga cluster.

Last week, the Director-General of Health, Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah highlighted a new cluster in Kedah known as the PUI Sivagangga, India Cluster.
It involved a permanent resident owner of nasi kandar restaurant. The premise has been shut down for sanitisation and disinfection.
The owner of the restaurant was compounded RM1,000 for violating the home quarantine order after returning from India.
According to the District Police Chief of Kubang Pasu District Superintendent Mohd Ismail Ibrahim, the 57-year-old man was believed to have returned from India on 13 July and needed to undergo the 14-day mandatory home quarantine.
According to Senior Minister (Security Cluster), Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, he will answer the viral message in a news conference on the development of Covid-19 at the Dewan Rakyat today. –MalaysiaGazette
