KUALA LUMPUR – Former Minister of Tourism and Culture, Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Aziz said that the best way forward for Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) is to join Muafakat Nasional (MN) consisted of UMNO and PAS.

Answering the questions from the media practitioners on the President of Bersatu, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s statement which said that the party wishes to join MN.

Earlier, Muhyiddin said that the Supreme Council of his party has agreed to join MN.

“I accept this as I was one of the early individuals who offered for Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to rejoin UMNO as he was sacked and did not quit the party.

“I welcome Muhyiddin’s statement to stabilise the country. As we know, Bersatu has been broken to two – Red and Black,” Nazri added.

Last July, Nazri suggested that if Muhyiddin returns to UMNO, the position of the party President should also be given to the Member of Parliament of Pagoh.

Nazri also urged Muhyiddin to rejoin UMNO to strengthen the biggest Malay political party in the country. –MalaysiaGazette
