KUALA LUMPUR – After a heated discussion on the allegations that the Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities (MPIC) Datuk Dr Mohd Khairuddin Aman Razali had violated the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for quarantine after returning from overseas, his Covid-19 screening result was tested negative today.

Based on a report by Harian Metro, he was screened upon arrival at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on 7 July. The whole process took five hours to complete.
“He went there on 3 July after getting the consent from the Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin. Moreover, Turkey was categorised as a green zone then.

“The minister will explain about his issue himself soon,” said the report.
Yesterday, the former Minister of Primary Industries, Teresa Kok alleged that Mohd Khairuddin did not go through the home-quarantine after returning from abroad.

“The Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities went to Turkey on 3 until 7 July but he came to the Parliament in the 13th.

“We know that everyone who visited other countries must be quarantined for 14 days. Now, there is a Cabinet Minister who doesn’t follow (the rules),” Teresa made the revelation yesterday. -MalaysiaGazette
