KOTA KINABALU – The announcement of candidates from Barisan Nasional (BN) for the Sabah State Election portrayed 95 percent of new faces is a proof of bravery of Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin.

Furthermore, it is also a gutsy act from the Sabah UMNO Chief cum the Director of Sabah BN to drop former Chief Minister, Tan Sri Musa Aman from the list. The Sungai Manila State Assembly Seat which belonged to Musa sees a new face, Mokran Ingkat as the candidate for the state assembly seat.

“Musa Aman did not request to be an UMNO and BN candidate,” said Bung Moktar in a news conference after a leadership meeting with Barisan Nasional (BN) and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) today.

Bung Moktar will be contesting for the Lamag state assembly seat, one of the 13 new state assembly seat in Sabah.

He said, former Chief Minister of Sabah cum former Minister of Communications and Multimedia, Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak will be contesting at the Usukan State Assembly seat.

A total of 73 state seats are up for grab in Sabah for its state election. The additional 13 new seats came after the delineation process by the Election Commission. The nomination day will be held on this Saturday while the state will head for the polls on 26 September.

Meanwhile, the candidates from Bersatu will be announced by its respective candidates.
