Covid-19 tally hits 10,031 – Noor Hisham

KUALA LUMPUR – 62 new cases of Covid-19 were reported today, said the Director-General of Health Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

According to him, one of the case was imported as the Malaysia citizen just returned from India.

He said, from the 61 cases of local infections, 41 cases involved Malaysia citizens while 20 cases were non-citizens.

“It turned the number of Covid-19 positive case in Malaysia to 10,031 cases. Therefore, the number of active Covid-19 cases in the country is 668 cases.

“They have been isolated and given treatment,” he said.

Noor Hisham further added, 26 cases have fully recovered from Covid-19 and allowed to discharge today.

The cumulative cases of patients who recovered from Covid-19 is 9,235 cases or 92.1 percent from the total cases.

According to him, 15 Covid-19 positive cases are currently being treated at the Intensive Care Unit where three cases required respiratory support.

However, no Covid-19 death was reported today and the Covid-19 death toll remained at 128 cases or 1.28 percent from the total cases. –MalaysiaGazette
