KOTA KINABALU – The President of Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan), Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal said that the debate challenge with Datuk Hajiji Noor thrown at him by the Perikatan Nasional (PN) Communications Chief, Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali is merely a waste of time.

Mohd Shafie, who is also the representative of Warisan for the Senallang State Assembly Seat from Warisan has an open attitude on the debate. However, he would like to prioritise on meeting the voters during the campaign period for the Sabah state election.

“The debate can take place but I would like to meet the voters. Therefore, don’t waste time. He (Azmin Ali) was also a part of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) but he jumped. He is one the ‘frogs’ which jumped,” he said when met by the journalists after the Malaysia Day celebration at the state.

Yesterday, the President of Warisan was challenged to a debate with the Sulaman state assembly candidate from PN, Datuk Hajiji Noor to prove his ability in leading the state.

The challenge was dropped by Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali during his firsty day campaigning for Hajiji. Earlier, the President of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu), Tan Sri Muhyiddin depicted that Hajiji would be appointed as the Chief Minister if the PN coalition wins the Sabah state election. – MalaysiaGazette
