KUNAK – Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin can say anything about the Sabah election but the victory can only be determined through the polls tomorrow.

The President of Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan), Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal emphasized that he is confident that his party is able to maintain its foot in Sabah.

“He can make any statements, even when he only has two seats in Kuala Lumpur. How can he get seats in Sabah?

“Wait for the polling day. We have worked and done everything and we are confident,” he told the journalists after an election campaign at Kampung Cenderawasih, Batu 5, Kunak when asked to comment about Muhyiddin’s statement which projected that the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) would rake huge victory during the Sabah State Election on 26 September.

The Chairman of Perikatan Nasional (PN) said that his confidence was based on the reception the party received during the campaign last night as it was a sign of the people’s support towards GRS.

“Tonight is historical in the series of Sabah election campaign. We witness the presence of thousands of supporters. I am impressed and proud. This is the early signs that the parties under GRS will achieve great victory in the state election. Insyallah,” he said in his speech at Bakut View, Kg Sendil yesterday.

Similar to Muhyiddin, Shafie was also optimistic in regaining the power of the people tomorrow.

“Alhamdullilah, we got the opportunity to meet the voters on the last day of the campaign. Based on what we can see, the people will give their support to Warisan and its partners,” he said.

Tomorrow, 1.124 million of Sabahans will fulfil their duty in choosing a new state government between Warisan, GRS and Parti Cinta Sabah (PCS). –MalaysiaGazette
