KUALA LUMPUR – The social and economic of Malaysia will be strongly impacted if the Movement Control Order (MCO) is implemented again in the country.

Therefore, the government would only implement the Targeted Enhanced Movement Control Order (TEMCO) in the red zones, said Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

This enables areas not badly affected by the pandemic to carry out economic and social activities according to the standard operating procedures (SOP).

However, if there is a need to impose any restrictions, the government promised to give ample of time for the people to prepare accordingly.

Muhyiddin said that the decisions made through the National Security Council (MKN) are based on data collected through sources with authority.

“I know that many people has given suggestions on the management of Covid-19 as they are very caring.

“I appreciate all opinion and if it is suitable, it would be presented to the MKN Special Meeting to be discussed and decided.

“At this moment, it is important not to point fingers. I know that certain quarters are taking advantage out of the bad situation we’re in.

“Just ignore them,” he said during the special address on Covid-19 at his residence today.

He also requested the public not to panic and make their own assumptions. According to Muhyiddin, the economic is recovering well.

According to him, each decision made by the government takes into consideration of the 15 million citizens who are working in Malaysia. –MalaysiaGazette
