PUTRAJAYA – “I was busy doing video conference on Covid-19 when Anwar was having an audience with Agong,” said Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s meeting with the Yang Dipertuan Agong (YDPA) today.
According to Muhyiddin, he did not follow the development of the Opposition Chief. However, he surrender the case to the wisdom of the Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin AlMustafa Billah Shah Sultan Ahmad Shah to make decision.
“Whatever the decision is being made… my focus is not about that. When Anwar was meeting the Agong, I was busy conducting video conference with certain quarters on Covid-19. That is my focus,” he said during a virtual news conference with media editors today.
Anwar had an audience with the Agong this morning and presented the number of Members of Parliament who supported him and maintained his allegation that Muhyiddin’s government has been toppled.
According to Muhyiddin, he did not want to talk much about politics when the country is laden with the spread of Covid-19.
He is worried with the perception of the people if he talks too much about politics and Anwar when the people are burdened by the global pandemic.
Earlier, he denied that he did not want to meet the media and conduct news conference often as his priority after taking over the leadership of the country is to manage the Covid-19 and the economy. –MalaysiaGazette
