KUALA LUMPUR – Three districts in the Peninsular of Malaysia have been recorded as the Covid-19 red zones. The areas are namely the Timur Laut, Kubang Pasu and Gombak.

Timur Laut has recorded 178 Covid-19 positive cases, followed by Kubang Pasu with 42 cases and Gombak with 41 cases.

Meanwhile, Kota Setar is still in the red zone with the highest Covid-19 positive cases of 1,299.

Two are red zone districts that continued to remain in the red are Klang with 126 cases and Petaling with 97 cases.

Meanwhile, 11 red zones are recorded in Sabah. Semporna leads the score board with 763 Covid-19 positive cases, followed by Kota Kinabalu with 532 cases and Tawau with 447 cases.

Sandakan (345 cases), Tuaran (288 cases), Lahad Datu (191 cases), Kunak (111 cases), Papar (161 cases), Penampang (94 cases), Putatan (87 cases) and Kota Belud (47 cases).

Thus, there are 16 red zones in the country with its current third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. –MalaysiaGazette
