BN to discuss if Muhyiddin should resign

KUALA LUMPUR – Barisan Nasional (BN) will be getting the opinion from its Members of Parliament if there is a need for Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to resign as the Prime Minister.

The Treasurer-General of BN, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said that he would like to get the opinion from his friends in the party on the matter thi evening.

“That’s why we need to discuss. I would like to listen to the opinion of BN,” he said briefly at the lobby of Menara Dato Onn in PWTC today when asked by the journalists if Muhyiddin should resign following the decision by the Conference of Rulers who rejected his suggestion to proclaim the state of emergency in the country.

Meanwhile, when asked if UMNO is still supporting the Perikatan Nasional (PN), Hishammuddin who is also the Foreign Minister said that he is not sure about that.

“I don’t know. We’ll wait for UMNO’s meeting first,” he said.

Earlier, Hishammuddin and his friends in the Cabinet namely, Khairy Jamaluddin, Tan Sri Annuar Musa, Datuk Seri Shamsul Anuar Nasarah, Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican and Datuk Halimah Saddique arrived at the PWTC after attending the Cabinet meeting at the Prime Minister’s Department in Putrajaya.

Other Members of Parliaments chose to keep mum from answering the questions posed by the media who have been gathering at PWTC since 12.00 pm. –MalaysiaGazette
