KUALA LUMPUR – The police have started their investigation on a Facebook account which uploaded insulting post on Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.
The police have identified the Facebook account as Ho Ruey Terng.
The Deputy Director of Classified Criminal Investigation Unit (CCID)(Prosecution and Legal Division) D5, Deputy Commissioner Mior Faridahlathrash Wahid said that the police had opened investigation paper on the Facebook account to investigate the irresponsible individual who committed the immoral act.
“Investigation is carried out under the Sedition Act 1948 and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998,” he said when contacted by MalaysiaGazette today.
The Facebook account, Ho Ruey Terng uploaded a rude and derogatory remark on the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, saying that His Majesty is a stupid King for failing to seek a solution during the Covid-19 pandemic.
He also alleged that the YDPA had personal financial gains from the taxes paid by the people.
His post went viral in the social media and raked the rage of netizens due to his rudeness and foul languages used against the Head of the State.
In his Facebook post, he wrote:
“Our stupid head of state can’t do anything during the epidemic.
“He only knows how to use people’s tax. Besides observing how to appoint the prime minister between two parties to make profits for himself. He also tries his best to obtain financial benefits. The King of Malay is a pig, a stupid pig like Allah, a dictator, go eat shit.”
The usage of offensive words such as pigs and insulting Allah by the individual was overboard and forced the authorities to take actions according to the law against the perpetrator.
However, the Facebook account no longer exists now, believed to have been removed by the perpetrator. Meanwhile, the Instagram account of @pemantaumalaysiabaru has uploaded Ho Ruey Terng’s Facebook status that alleged that irresponsible individuals have misused his account.
In a separate post. Ruey Terng alleged that he was preparing to lodge a police report while urging the public not to believe in the fake status uploaded on his account. –MalaysiaGazette
