KUALA LUMPUR – 549 individuals have been arrested for flouting the Movement Control Order (MCO).

Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said, from that amount, compounds have been issued on 547 individuals. Meanwhile, 2 have been remanded.

“Among the MCO violations include not wearing face masks (188), failing to provide equipment to record personal details (154), physical distancing (79), premises operating over time (34), activities at entertainment outlets (9) and others (85),” he said in a statement today.

Meanwhile, 14 illegal immigrants have been arrested in the Benteng Operation. A boat and six land vehicles were seized in the operation. –MalaysiaGazette
