KUALA LUMPUR – Former Vice-President of Amanah, Senator Datuk Husam Musa alleged that the fall of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) government was planned from the first day the coalition became the government.
According to him, it could be seen from several indicators and he has warned the top leadership of his party since last year, including the Deputy President of Amanah, Datuk Salahudin Ayub.
One of the indicator was Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s delay in appointing senators from the PH component parties during his reign as the Prime Minister.
“I came in (as Senator) after the fall of PH but there were 16 vacant senator seats during the PH era. Tun (Mahathir) seemed to have kept the Senate seats for people who were appointed later such as Zahid Mat Arip and Tengku (Datuk Seri) Zafrul (Tengku Abdul Aziz) among others.
“It (Dewan Negara) is now ruled by the people there (Perikatan Nasional government).
“To be, the fall of PH was plan right from the start. The strategy ran on its month and when it’s time, it will fall. Only the date was not fixed,” he said in a Political Talk entitled Kejatuhan PH adalah satu rancangan (The Planned Fall of PH) at DHM Channel yesterday.
He alleged that Mahathir had purportedly delay the appointment of senator as the Member of Parliament of Langkawi often made immediate decisions.
Husam also said that everything that happened was a sign from God, including the doomsday with small and big signs before it happens.
Therefore, it would only be a waste of time for the opposition to use the same engineer (Mahathir) to seize the power of the government.
“We (PH) are stuck for not moving forward. There are many other ways, I’m not saying that it’s easy. Besides Tun M becoming PM (again), there are hundreds of ways,” he added.
On the allegations that Mahathir and Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah are joining forces to form a unity government, Husam said that it is also a waste of time.
“I heard that Tun would become the PM for six months, Ku Li would also become the PM for six months. That is wasting time. I’ve sent my regards to the people who are close to Ku Li. It would be better for him to work with Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
“Would you want to eat the curry from Pelita (mamak) everyday?” he questioned while emphasizing that the party leadership needs to consider the opinion from the minority in PH.
Recently, Husam resigned as the Vice-President of Amanah and the Chairman of Kelantan Amanah. However, he is still a member of the party led by Mohamad Sabu. –MalaysiaGazette
