KUALA LUMPUR – The Barisan Nasional (BN) Members of Parliament (MP) Meeting this evening had unanimously agreed to support Budget 2021 that will be presented on 6 November.
The MP of Pasir Salak, Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman said that the agreement was stated by all party members in a special meeting which took place just now.
“We decided in the meeting to support the budget. We did not hesitate (to give our support).
“Thus, the government or the Prime Minister need not worry or doubt. We will ensure that the budget is approved,” he said when met after a special meeting at Menara Dato’ Onn, Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) today.
The meeting that began at 3.30 pm ended at 4.30 pm.
Meanwhile, the Secretary-General of BN, Tan Sri Annuar Musa said that the special meeting was aimed in briefing all MPs on the Supply Bill (Budget) 2021. He also said that all MPs must unite in giving their support to Budget 2021.
“The Whip Leaders would then explain it to the party members,” he said.
Earlier, Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah decreed for all MPs to support the Budget 2021 which will be presented this Friday.
His Majesty said that the budget is crucial in overcoming Covid-19 and recovering the economy. –MalaysiaGazette
