KUALA LUMPUR – A man arrested as the suspect of raping his own 16-year-old daughter since February has been remanded for five more days.
The Ampang Jaya District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Farouk Eshak verified the matter when contacted by MalaysiaGazette.
He said, the suspect was brought to the Ampang Magistrate Court this morning for a remand extension.
“The Magistrate allowed the extension of remand on the suspect until 10 November,” he said.
The 42-year-old suspect was arrested last Monday for allegedly raping his 16-year-old daughter at his residence in Bukit Antarabangsa, Ampang.
The suspect who divorced with his first wife in 2004 obtained the custody right on the victim in September 2019. He has been raping his teenage daughter countless times since last February.
The suspect allegedly committed the vicious act every morning when the stepmother and four stepsiblings of the victim were sleeping in separate rooms.
Further investigation on the suspect found that he had previous criminal record of for rape and incest in 2004, in which he had attempted to proceed himself on his sister in law at the time under Section 376A of the Penal Code.
The case is investigated under Section 376B of the Penal Code for rape.
On 1 November, the police detained the victim at Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) for violating the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) by attempting to leave the city.
Further investigation found that the girl was attempting to escape to her mother’s home in Kedah after she claimed that her father has been raping her since February.
The victim had also tried to commit suicide by drinking liquid detergent in June and is traumatised by the incidents. –MalaysiaGazette
