KUALA LUMPUR – The Federal Territories Islamic Religious Department (JAWI) has urged all mosques and surau in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya to hold solat hajat (prayer of need) to seek Allah’s protection following the recent spike in the COVID-19 cases in the country.

JAWI director Mohd Ajib Ismail said in a statement today that solat hajat should be performed tomorrow (Nov 6) after the Jumaat prayer and from Nov 7 until 9 after Maghrib prayer.
