KUALA LUMPUR – The Inland Revenue Board (IRB) reminded eligible Bantuan Prihatin Nasional (BPN) 2.0 recipients to make application for the cash aid latest by 15 November, especially those who did not receive the BPN 2020 but fulfil the latest criteria.
In a statement today, the IRB said that the application for the cash aid may be made online through its portal, https://bpn.hasil.gov.my/ or manual form at their nearest IRB offices.
As announced by the government earlier, BPN 2.0 is one of the additional framework to the Additional Prihatin Rakyat Economic Stimulus Package (KITA PRIHATIN) to assist the people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
For the new approved applications, payment will be made in January 2021.
IRB also urges the people to visit https://bpn.hasil.gov.my/ to download the terms and conditions and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) on the cash assistance.
As of 26 October 2020, RM3.6 billion have been channelled to over 7.32 billion BPN recipients.
It encompassed of 6.27 million recipients from the B40 group and 1.05 million from the M40 category. –MalaysiaGazette
