KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia has created another Covid-19 record with 1,884 new positive cases reported as of 12.00 pm today.

Selangor led the Covid-19 new cases leaderboard with the highest infection of 1,203 cases today.

According to the Director-General of Health Tan Sri Noor Hisham Abdullah, from the amount, the Teratai Cluster recorded the highest increment with 1,067 cases.

The latest development turned the cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases in Malaysia to 56,659 cases with 13,842 active cases.

Noor Hisham said, the country recorded two imported cases and 1,882 local infections.

He added, 289 cases were recorded in Sabah, followed by 196 cases or 10.4 percent in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur.

Meanwhile, 115 Covid-19 positive cases are under treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and 48 of them required respiratory support.

Noor Hisham also said that there were two Covid-19 deaths today.

At the same time, 883 patients have fully recovered from the disease and were allowed to discharge. –MalaysiaGazette
