KUALA LUMPUR – Datuk Seri Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan was asked to leave the Dewan Rakyat by the Speaker, Datuk Azhar Azizan Harun while the Parliament gets detailed explanation from the Ministry of Health (MOH).

The Member of Parliament (MP) of Keningau was requested to do so as his presence at the Dewan Rakyat had raised concerns among the opposition MPs as he did not undergo the 14-day mandatory quarantine after returning from Sabah yesterday.

According to Azhar, he would get the answer from the Lembah Pantai Health Clinic, the venue where the MP had his Covid-19 screening after arriving from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

Based on the record, the Keningau MP had undergo a 12-day quarantine beginning 12 November until yesterday, before entering the Dewan Rakyat today for the Budget 2021 debate. – MalaysiaGazette
