
KUALA LUMPUR – Prime Minister expressed his appreciation towards the contributions given by Tan Sri Abu Kassim Mohamed in fighting corruption and ensuring high integrity in the governance of the country.
Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said that Abu Kassim, the Director-General of Governance, Integrity and Anti-Corruption Centre (GIACC) is a very proactive person. Prior to his appointment to lead the GIACC, he was the Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) from October 2010 until July 2016.
“The National Anti-Corruption Plan (NACP) 2019-2023 aimed to thoroughly tackle governance, integrity and anti-corruption issues were among the initiatives developed by GIACC under his leadership and was launched on January 2019.
“I appreciate the efforts and contributions of Tan Sri Abu Kassim in fighting corruption and ensuring the highest level of integrity in national governance,” he said.
Abu Kassim will be retiring on 5 December 2020.
“Well done and congratulations. I pray that Tan Sri will always be blessed by Allah SWT and is granted with happiness. It would not be easy to replace him,” said Muhyiddin. –MalaysiaGazette
